Let's Speak Africa's Vision
Let's Speak Africa's vision for 2025 is to engage and educate at least 1,000 children and teenagers aged 9 to 13 in Africa about climate change and advocacy. Let's Speak Africa aims to equip them with storytelling, poetry, and public speaking skills to effectively advocate for improved climate practices within their communities.
While numerous African organizations and governments are making strides in climate mitigation, there remains a critical gap in focused engagement with children aged 8 to 13. Despite the significant risks posed by climate change to this demographic, only 2.4% of global climate funding is directed toward initiatives that support them.
Let's Speak Africa's initiative will prioritize education on climate change, plastic pollution, and deforestation. Participants will learn to use storytelling as a powerful tool for advocating better environmental practices.
Let's Speak Africa's goal is to empower young individuals to voice their ideas and influence positive change in their communities.
